Why it costs what it costs

Three days of work
you can hold

    Drawn, not printed

    The pattern is applied in molten wax with a tjanting spout, line by line. A printer can copy the look; it cannot copy the hand.

  • 02

    Dyed in stages

    Each colour means another wax layer and another dye bath. A five-colour piece has been through the process five times.

  • 03

    Genuinely one-off

    The wax cracks differently every time. That is why every piece here is photographed individually rather than sold from a sample.
